    Description

    We’re Hiring Camp Counselors! Be Part of Camp Immersed - Baltimore This Summer

    We are currently hiring staff for Camp Immersed, a dynamic, week-long immersive learning experience designed to introduce children to world languages, global cultures, and real-world communication through interactive activities and hands-on exploration. Camp Immersed is an initiative of Madame Armant's Immersion Cities, a nonprofit organization committed to bridging the gap between local communities and global opportunities through language learning and intercultural engagement. We are hosting camp in two separate locations this summer. This listing is for the Baltimore session.

    Camp dates and Locations:

    • July 27–31, 2026 | 1725 Twin Springs Rd, Baltimore, MD 21227

    Staff have the option to work at one campsite or both, depending on availability. Compensation is provided per campsite.

    Spanish Language Skills: Helpful but not required

    Reporting To: Camp Chaperones

    Rate: $15/hour or $450 Stipend

    Role Summary

    Camp Counselors work directly with campers throughout the day, providing supervision, encouragement, and hands-on support during instruction, BizTown role-play, and workshops. This position is designed as a youth leadership development opportunity, with structured supervision and mentorship.

    Key Responsibilities

    Direct Camper Supervision

    • Supervise the assigned camper group at all times
    • Maintain active engagement during activities
    • Conduct headcounts during transitions
    • Monitor behavior and support positive redirection
    • Instructional Support
    • Participate in Spanish instruction blocks as active models
    • Encourage campers to practice Spanish during activities
    • Assist instructors with materials, small-group practice, and reinforcement

    Experiential Learning Support

    • Support BizTown role-play scenarios
    • Guide campers through storefront interactions
    • Encourage teamwork and participation

    Operational Assistance

    • Assist with set-up and clean-up
    • Support lunch and restroom transitions
    • Communicate concerns promptly to Supervisor

    Qualifications

    • Interest in leadership, education, or youth development
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a structured team
    • Responsible, energetic, and positive demeanor
    • Background check required
    • High School or University students preferred
    • Previous experience working with youth and/summer camps preferred but not required
