    About Phoebe's Safe Haven

    Phoebe's Safe Haven is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating accessible emergency shelter and support services for women with disabilities who are survivors of domestic violence. Our mission is to remove barriers to safety by ensuring every survivor has access to safe, inclusive, and empowering resources.

    We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to help us build a strong, dedicated volunteer team that will support our growing organization.

    Position Summary

    The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and coordinating volunteers whose skills and passions align with our mission. This individual will help expand our volunteer network by promoting opportunities, communicating with applicants, coordinating interviews, and creating a positive volunteer experience from the first point of contact.

    Responsibilities

    • Recruit volunteers through online platforms, community organizations, universities, and professional networks.
    • Create and post volunteer opportunities on recruitment websites and social media.
    • Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries and applications.
    • Schedule volunteer interviews with the Executive Director.
    • Maintain volunteer records and applicant tracking spreadsheets.
    • Assist with volunteer onboarding and orientation.
    • Coordinate follow-up communication with applicants and volunteers.
    • Help identify volunteer needs across various departments.
    • Work with department leaders to match volunteers with appropriate roles.
    • Promote volunteer appreciation and retention initiatives.
    • Ensure volunteer communications are professional, timely, and welcoming.
    • Maintain confidentiality when handling volunteer information.
