Position Summary
The Director of Development is a key leadership volunteer role responsible for planning, managing, and executing all fundraising efforts that sustain and expand AUSCF’s mission. This position oversees donor relations, grant writing, sponsorship development, and long-term fundraising strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting cybersecurity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
- Identify grant opportunities; prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and reporting.
- Oversee donor communications, stewardship, and recognition programs.
- Create annual fundraising goals and monitor progress toward targets.
- Collaborate with board members and program leads to align funding priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, grants, and donor data.
- Represent AUSCF at virtual events, donor meetings, and community outreach activities when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or grant writing (volunteer or professional).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
- Strategic, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Passion for cybersecurity, education, or public service is a plus.
