Responsibilities:
- Assist in administrative tasks within the office environment, including data entry, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and facilitating the environment.
- Engage with elderly clients, primarily Cantonese/Taishanese and Mandarin speakers, providing them with information and guidance on Medicare-related concerns.
- Translate documents and materials from English to Cantonese/Mandarin and vice versa, ensuring accurate communication.
- Support HICAP counselors and staff in coordinating appointments and client follow-ups.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain an organized and efficient office environment.
Requirements:
- Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese (Taishanese or Mandarin) is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with the broader team.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude toward working with elderly individuals.
- Previous office experience or customer service skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Passion for helping the elderly community and a commitment to making a positive impact.
