    National Legal Counsel

    Title: Volunteer: National Legal Counsel — American PACT to Restore American Values

    Location: Remote — United States

    Time Commitment: Flexible — as needed basis

    About Us: American PACT (People Acting Collectively Together) is a nonpartisan, citizen-led movement dedicated to establishing congressional term limits and returning government to the people. Website: citizensforlimits.org

    About This Role: National Legal Counsel provides guidance on legal matters including election law compliance, ballot access requirements across 20+ states, fundraising regulations, and organizational structure. This is a critical role as PACT moves toward placing citizen candidates on November 2026 ballots.

    What You'll Do:

    • Advise leadership on federal and state election law compliance
    • Research ballot access requirements and deadlines in each target state
    • Guide the legal structure of the organization
    • Ensure all fundraising and contribution activities meet legal requirements
    • Review public-facing documents for legal accuracy
    • Provide guidance on volunteer agreements and organizational risk

    What We're Looking For:

    • Licensed attorney — required
    • Experience in election law, nonprofit law, or public interest law preferred
    • Commitment to nonpartisan civic reform
    • Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers
    • U.S. citizen currently residing in the United States
