Volunteer Opportunity: Event Photographers
Organization: Well Read Sistas Inc.
Event: Headshot Clinic & Resume Day
Date: Saturday, February 7th
Time: 3:00 PM EST (photographers may be required to arrive earlier for setup)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Role Overview
Well Read Sistas Inc. is seeking skilled and passionate photographers to volunteer their services during the Headshot Clinic & Resume Day. Your talent will help empower participants by providing them with professional-quality headshots that can enhance their personal and professional branding.
Responsibilities
- Set up your photography station, including lighting, backdrops, and camera equipment (limited equipment assistance may be provided).
- Capture professional headshots of attendees in a welcoming and efficient manner.
- Provide guidance to participants on posing to ensure they feel confident and comfortable.
- Collaborate with makeup artists and volunteers to ensure participants are camera-ready.
- Edit and deliver finalized headshots (if applicable) by an agreed deadline post-event.
Qualifications
- Experience with portrait or professional headshot photography.
- Ability to bring and operate your own photography equipment, including camera, lenses, and lighting (if possible).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for participants.
- Ability to work efficiently and adhere to the event’s schedule.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality photographs to participants.
