    Description

    Chief Financial Officer

A Light Lift, Inc. is a Maryland based 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization established in 2026 with the goal of providing essential goods and resources to underserved communities in Prince George’s County and Washington, DC, with an intent to expand its geographic footprint to additional locations where affiliates have a physical presence.

Who We Are and What We Do

We’re committed to programming that fulfills the immediate needs of underserved communities, with the intent to create an environment in which long-term, sustainable solutions for meeting daily nutritional, hygiene, and housing requirements can be implemented. Our first and flagship program is dedicated to providing persons without permanent living conditions resources to satisfy daily needs such as non-perishable food items, clothing, and hygienic products.

This is an opportunity to help build an organization from the ground up as a senior level staff member. You’ll be guided and coached by the Board of Directors composed of professionals with years of experience who are experts in their fields.

The organization is currently seeking professional, business-minded individuals with a passion for having a positive impact on their community. These positions will start on a volunteer basis with the prospect of becoming paid based on organizational and individual performance.

The initial time commitment will be roughly 5-10 hours per week.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all financial matters of the organization
    • Maintain records of all financial transactions and receipts
    • Partner with Managers to develop and continually improve financial strategies for their respective areas
    • Prepare financial records and statements for review by the Board of Directors
    • Maintain banking records and balances
    • Required to approve all financial expenditures and transactions
