Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired's Nera 2026, a blind dining experience. October 1st, 2026, Huguenot Mill Greenville, SC

Nera is a unique charity event in that we host a dinner for our guests while they are wearing eye masks. This blind dining experience not only makes for an interesting evening, but by putting eye masks on our guests for their main course gives them a glimpse into the challenges our clients face daily. In addition to dinner, we have a live auction where items are presented to the highest bidder. The proceeds raised at this event will support the crucial education accessibility and vision rehabilitation services we provide to help individuals live with and overcome the challenges presented by life with vision loss.

ABVI is looking for volunteers to help execute the day of the event, October 1st. We are looking for setup crew, take-down crew, coat check, guest check-in crew, raffle ticket sellers, bid spotters, and floaters/runners.
