Habitat For Humanity - Store Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity Whatcom is a non-profit organization committed to ensuring that everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place that they can call home.

The Habitat Store sells donated new and used furniture, appliances, housewares, and building supplies to the public. This is one of the most important sources of funding to help us build! The money we generate from sales helps build homes and run our organization. While working at the store you can be expected to serve in a variety of ways:

• Operate cash register that documents sold merchandise
• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed
• Answer telephones and provide store information/direction to callers
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment
• Move items around warehouse as directed by the Habitat Store Management team
• Accept donations on the dock and help with pricing/moving them out to the sales floor.
• Help customers load items into their vehicles
