    Aside from specific advocacy or action events, Earth Day Champions can meet virtually with EARTHDAY.ORG staff regularly and participate in meetings of other Earth Day Champions.

    Description

    EARTHDAY.ORG is looking for passionate individuals who want to help advocate for better environmental policies on every level of government, but especially the local and state levels. The key policy areas in which we hope to push for progress are Plastics & Human Health, Urban Tree Equity & Canopy Preservation, Renewable Energy, and Climate Education.

    Earth Day Champions may:

    • Help with our efforts to rapidly respond to rollbacks of federal environmental policy.
    • Participate in or lead local advocacy efforts on the issues highlighted above.
    • Participate in or lead state advocacy efforts on the issues highlighted above.
    • Participate in or lead local action opportunities when possible (clean-ups, tree plantings, etc.)`
