    Description

    Let’s Talk About It: The Power of Healing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through advocacy, resources, and community-based support.

    We are currently seeking dedicated Volunteer Board Members to help guide our organization’s growth, strengthen programs, and expand our impact across Winston-Salem, Kernersville, and Greensboro.

    This is an unpaid volunteer position for individuals who are passionate about community service and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in person)
    • Provide guidance and oversight of programs and organizational activities
    • Support fundraising, outreach, and community partnerships
    • Serve as ambassadors for the organization
    • Assist with strategic planning and organizational development
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 6 months related experience (nonprofit, finance, real estate, construction, legal, fundraising, administration, or community leadership)
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Willingness to support fundraising and outreach efforts
    • Reliable and able to commit time monthly
    • Passion for helping survivors and strengthening communities

    We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and encourage professionals with experience in finance, housing, legal services, construction, fundraising, or community advocacy to apply.
