Volunteer (unpaid) Board Members commit about 3–5 hours per month, including monthly meetings and occasional outreach or fundraising. Minimum 6-month commitment. Members must be reliable, engaged, and willing to actively support the mission.

Description

Let’s Talk About It: The Power of Healing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through advocacy, resources, and community-based support.

We are currently seeking dedicated Volunteer Board Members to help guide our organization’s growth, strengthen programs, and expand our impact across Winston-Salem, Kernersville, and Greensboro.

This is an unpaid volunteer position for individuals who are passionate about community service and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors.

Responsibilities:

Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in person)
Provide guidance and oversight of programs and organizational activities
Support fundraising, outreach, and community partnerships
Serve as ambassadors for the organization
Assist with strategic planning and organizational development
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months related experience (nonprofit, finance, real estate, construction, legal, fundraising, administration, or community leadership)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to support fundraising and outreach efforts
Reliable and able to commit time monthly
Passion for helping survivors and strengthening communities
