    Description

    St. Vincent de Paul Welcome Room Volunteer

    Become a Volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul in Cincinnati in their welcome room. Welcome Rooms serve neighbors by addressing their immediate, physical needs in a way that restores their dignity. Volunteers also address the neighbor's emotional needs by listening compassionately. Volunteers connect the client to resources to help them get back on their feet.

    Duties include:

    Assess immediate needs of the neighbor such as clothing/furniture vouchers, rent/utility assistance, food pantry assistance, bus tickets, etc.

    Engage neighbor in meaningful and dignifying interactions and conversations while assisting the neighbor.

    Record data and services given in our Case Management System

    Qualifications:

    Basic computer skills/willingness to learn our Case Management System

    Whatever your passion and purpose is, we are here to connect you to local nonprofits. RSVP is exclusive to those 55 years+ and residents of Greater Cincinnati.
