Description
WSPEC, a global non-profit, is accelerating the realization of a space elevator through targeted STEAM competitions . We are looking for a creative public relations expert to shape our public narrative and grow our global presence. You will help develop and execute a communications strategy that builds our brand and engages our community of innovators, sponsors, and partners.
What You'll Do:
- Develop media relationships to secure positive press coverage and write compelling press releases for major announcements .
- Work with the marketing team and lead the strategy and content creation for the official WSPEC newsletter to engage our community.
- Maintain relationships with partner organizations and media contacts and ensure all external communications align with WSPEC’s mission and vision .
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in public relations or communications with a track record of securing media coverage
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience planning and managing newsletters or email campaigns.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging stories for a broad audience.
- A genuine passion for space exploration, technology, and STEAM education
