    Grant Writer

    A grant writer for our nonprofit focused on helping survivors of sex trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, and addiction is a vital role in securing the financial resources necessary to grow the organization and expand the team. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications we are looking for in a grant writer:

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Grant Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private donors that align with the organization's mission and goals.
    2. Proposal Writing: Prepare compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate the nonprofit's mission, objectives, and the specific projects or programs to be funded. These proposals should effectively convey the organization's dedication to helping survivors and the impact it aims to achieve.
    3. Budget Development: Work closely with the nonprofit's leadership and finance team to create detailed budgets for grant applications, ensuring that all financial requirements are accurately and transparently presented.
    4. Application Submission: Manage the entire grant application process, including submitting applications by deadlines, tracking submissions, and maintaining records of applications.
    5. Grant Compliance: Ensure that the nonprofit adheres to all grant requirements and reporting obligations, keeping the organization in good standing with funding sources.
    6. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with grant-making organizations, program officers, and potential donors to foster trust and understanding.
