    Description

    Our Mission

Legacy Care Hospice's core mission is to support the diverse needs, traditions, and beliefs of the communities we serve. We strive to integrate family, faith, and cultural respect into every aspect of our services to ensure a peaceful and meaningful end-of-life experience. Our experienced professionals offer a range of support, including pain management, emotional counseling, spiritual guidance, and bereavement care. Regardless of background, we treat every patient and family with the utmost dignity and respect.

    The Role of the Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our Legacy Care team. By sharing your time and talents, you help us fulfill our mission of enhancing the quality of life for our patients and providing essential support to our clinical operations. We offer two primary paths for involvement:

    1. Patient Companionship.

Presence is one of the greatest gifts a volunteer can offer.

    • In-Person Visits: Provide friendly conversation, bedside presence, or respite for family caregivers.
    • Life Review & Activities: Engage in storytelling, crafts, and reading aloud, or sharing music.
    • Flexibility in Schedule and Hours: We offer adaptable visiting hours and time slots to accommodate your personal availability. We work with you to ensure your service fits seamlessly into your life while providing a meaningful impact on your community.

2.Administrative & Marketing Support (Office Support)

Ensure our operations run smoothly so our clinicians can focus on care.

    • Community Resources: Research and maintain databases of local services that benefit our families.
    • Marketing & Outreach: Assist with the creation of information packets and displays for community events.
    • Family Connection: Prepare resource packets and send handwritten notes of encouragement to families.
    • General Administration: Assist with copies, organization, and essential office projects.
