Goal:
To plan and implement tutoring sessions for adult learners who want to improve their literacy skills so that they can function more effectively as workers, family, and community members.
Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
§Give individual attention to the learner’s needs
§Establish good rapport
§Plan lessons and activities for learning basic math and/or reading skills
§Keep detailed records
§Provide detailed reports about learner’s progress
§Maintain contact with the Program Coordinator
§Refer the learner to the client’s ILS for needs other than tutoring

Hours:
Tutoring schedules vary according to your availability and how much time you want to invest on a weekly basis.Our office hours are Mon-Thurs 8:00am - 4:00pm; closed for lunch 12p-1p.One tutor may work 1 or 2 hours a day per week or 8-10 hours per week on various days.Others just want to be on-call for when a tutor calls in sick.We strive to be flexible.
