    Description

Personal Growth Quote Collector for Book Club

Do you love a good quote? The kind that makes you stop, reread it, and think, “Yep. That one.”

Our Safe Space is looking for a detail-oriented volunteer to help with a one-time quote collection project using the book Calling in the One.

The book includes a stand-alone inspirational quote on nearly every page, each already attributed to its original author. We would love help collecting those quotes into one organized document so we can use them for book club discussions, newsletters, social media inspiration, and personal-growth prompts.

    About Us

Our Safe Space is a Tucson-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating welcoming, judgment-free spaces for personal growth, creativity, and connection, especially for women and LGBTQ+ community members.

We host free workshops, book clubs, conversations, and community events designed to help people feel more connected, encouraged, and supported.

    What You’ll Do

You’ll go through Calling in the One and collect the quote listed on each page.

For each quote, you’ll record into a spreadsheet:

Quote, Author, Optional theme, such as love, self-worth, healing, courage, relationships, trust, forgiveness, or personal growth

That’s it. No creative writing required. No ongoing commitment. Just careful reading, typing, and organizing.

Good Fit For Someone Who Is

    • Detail-oriented
    • Comfortable typing and organizing information
    • Able to work independently
    • Comfortable using Google Docs, Word, or a spreadsheet
    • A quote lover, book person, or sticky-tab enthusiast

Bonus points if you already have strong opinions about fonts, notebooks, or the correct number of pens to own.

    Why This Matters

Our Safe Space uses books, quotes, and discussion prompts to spark reflection and connection. Having these quotes organized in one place will help us create better book club materials, newsletter content, social posts, and workshop inspiration.

It’s a quiet behind-the-scenes project, but a very useful one.

Also, someone gets to spend time with 300+ good quotes and call it volunteering. Not a bad deal.
