    Description

    Role Overview

    The Volunteer Human Resources Manager plays a key role in supporting the organization’s people operations by overseeing onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR functions. This individual ensures that volunteers and staff have a positive, organized, and compliant experience while contributing to the nonprofit’s mission. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in Human Resources, administration, or a related field (professional or volunteer)
    • Basic knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and compliance practices
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote or volunteer setting
    • Passion for nonprofit work and supporting mission-driven teams

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the onboarding process for new volunteers and staff, including documentation and orientation
    • Maintain and organize personnel records in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies
    • Ensure HR practices align with legal and ethical standards
    • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions and concerns
    • Assist with developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and volunteer handbooks
    • Support recruitment efforts, including posting roles and coordinating interviews
    • Monitor volunteer engagement and help address retention and satisfaction needs
    • Handle basic conflict resolution and escalate issues when appropriate
    • Collaborate with leadership to support organizational growth and culture

    About LoopRoots Foundation

    LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on reentry support for individuals and families impacted by incarceration. Our work includes transportation access, housing stabilization, workforce reintegration, and community-based technology solutions. We are currently building a mission-driven rideshare and service platform designed to address transportation barriers for reentering citizens and underserved communities.
