USATF Arizona is seeking volunteers to help run the Phoenix Invitational Track Meet (April 11 + 12, 2026) , a community track and field competition that brings together athletes from across Arizona and all over the country to compete in a wide range of events.
Track meets rely on volunteers to operate smoothly and safely. Volunteers will work alongside experienced meet officials and staff to support different areas of the competition. Roles may include assisting with field events such as long jump, high jump, shot put, or discus, helping measure jumps and throws, recording results, assisting with athlete check-in, helping stage athletes before their races, or supporting general meet operations.
No previous track and field experience is required. Volunteers will receive instructions at the start of their shift, and experienced officials will be present to guide volunteers throughout the event. This is a great opportunity to learn how track meets operate and to support athletes as they compete.
We welcome community members, parents, students seeking service hours, sports fans, and anyone interested in supporting youth and community athletics. Volunteers should be comfortable being outdoors for the duration of their shift and able to follow directions from meet officials.
By volunteering, you will play an important role in helping athletes have a positive and well-organized competition experience while supporting the growth of track and field in Arizona
No track and field experience is required. Volunteers will receive simple instructions and work alongside experienced officials.
This event takes place at the Mesa Community College Track & Field facility. Please park in the track parking lot next to the stadium and walk to volunteer check-in. Additional instructions will be sent prior to the event.
