    Description

MatchingDonors.com is seeking AI programmer volunteers for a hands-on AI Marketing & Growth Project Challenge.

During your first 7 days, you will research current AI marketing ideas, investigate free and open-source tools, submit three proposals, and then build one approved, complete, usable AI-powered marketing product by 30 days.

After launching your product, you will continue operating, maintaining, measuring, and improving it for at least six months under MatchingDonors’ supervision and program sponsorship. Your continuing responsibilities will include running approved campaigns or workflows, monitoring results, correcting problems, documenting improvements, and reporting measurable outcomes.

Potential projects include charitable asset-donation marketing, social media automation, institutional outreach, advertising and sponsorship development, content and SEO, public relations, affiliate marketing, and marketing automation.

Your product should support this complete workflow wherever applicable:

    Discover → Qualify → Create → Approve → Distribute/Outreach → Follow Up → Track → Optimize

    Responsibilities

    • Research current AI marketing products, GitHub projects, APIs, and free-tier tools
    • Submit three project proposals during Week 1
    • Build, test, document, and launch an approved product within 30 days
    • Demonstrate progress on Days 7, 14, 21, and 30
    • Operate and improve the completed product for at least six months
    • Submit weekly progress reports and measurable deliverables
    • Maintain human approval before public content or outbound communication
    • Track campaign activity, qualified responses, operational performance, and outcomes
    • Train an authorized MatchingDonors team member and maintain complete operating documentation

If you can't build, test, document, and launch an approved product within 30 days you will need to apply to and be accepted for another position that we have available in order to continue being sponsored by us.

    Qualifications

    • Experience with AI, software development, automation, APIs, data analysis, or related technologies
    • Ability to deliver and operate a practical product—not only a prototype
    • Strong research, testing, problem-solving, and documentation skills
    • Ability to work independently or with up to two other AI programmer volunteers
    • Interest in nonprofit marketing and measurable social impact

    Important Safety Restrictions

AI systems may not directly communicate with, engage, match, recommend to, or make decisions about individual transplant patients or living donors. Volunteers may not use patient or donor PHI or other restricted data.

Public awareness campaigns and approved institutional outreach to transplant centers, hospitals, advocacy organizations, healthcare professionals, and community organizations are permitted.

    Team Support

You may request help from other AI programmer volunteers. Tell MatchingDonors by Day 3 how many programmers you need, the skills or tasks they will cover, and how long their assistance will be required.

    What You Will Gain

    • Experience building, launching, and operating a real AI marketing product
    • At least six months of structured, supervised project participation
    • Practical experience with AI, APIs, automation, analytics, and growth systems
    • Weekly feedback, documented responsibilities, and measurable deliverables
    • A mission-driven project with tangible nonprofit impact

Apply through Interstride and include your résumé, relevant technical skills, portfolio or GitHub profile if available, and a brief explanation of why you are interested in the challenge.
