    Description

Elara Caring, one of the nation’s largest providers of home-based care, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.

If you are compassionate and enjoy photography, you could be a Photography Volunteer. Volunteers might be asked to attend special events such as Tea Parties and Veteran Pinning to photograph the patients in attendance. Families of patients might request that a volunteer capture a portrait of their loved one. We also host an event called Holding Hands, where we photograph patients holding the hands of their loved ones. The photograph is then given to the family as a memento.

All volunteers must have their own equipment, cameras are NOT provided. We ask that photographs be donated and HIPPA patient privacy rules apply to rights of prints.

Hours are flexible weekdays, weekends, and evenings. We typically ask for 1-2 hours per week.
