About Us
Confronting Domestic Violence, Inc. (CDV) is a San Diego based nonprofit providing survivor support services and workplace violence prevention (SB 553) education for California employers.
The Role
Lead the planning side of our marketing. You will help shape campaigns, keep our content calendar organized, and support a small volunteer content team. This is a strategy and coordination role, not a full time production role.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage monthly campaign calendars across social, email, and events
- Coordinate volunteer content creators and review work against brand standards
- Support fundraising and awareness campaigns from concept to launch
- Draft or edit marketing copy for email newsletters, landing pages, and outreach
- Pull monthly performance reports and recommend adjustments
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in marketing, communications, business, or public relations
- Organized and comfortable managing timelines and other people's deadlines
- Strong written communication
- Nonprofit, agency, or campaign experience is a plus but not required
Programs You Should Know (or Be Willing to Learn)
Canva, Google Workspace, Mailchimp or similar email platform, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite, project management tools (Trello, Asana, Notion), and basic analytics.
Time Commitment
5 to 10 hours per month (about 1 to 2 hours per week). Remote and flexible. This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Excellent for anyone building toward a marketing manager, brand strategist, or nonprofit communications role.
