Thumbs Up Volunteer Opportunities
After School Program: Middle & High School After School Program
Elk River: Wednesday & Thursday from 2:15 pm - 5:00 PM
Rogers: Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:15 - 5:00 PM
- Create a safe space for student to build community through set up and tear down activities, helping students with homework, providing mentorship for youth, and assisting with weekly crafts and mindfulness activities
Special/Community Events
- Represent Thumbs Up at community events, be an advocate for mental health, share information about Thumbs Up programs and resources, and connect with individuals for potential partnerships
Annual 5K & 10K Run/Walk/Bike
- Assist with a variety of duties from set up/tear down to youth activities, vendor support, route marshals, registration, apparel sales, and much more
General & Office Assistance
- Support the office staff with various projects including inventory, mailings, organization, admin tasks, community outreach, and more
Task & Project Assistance
- Assist with bigger project needs such as assembling furniture, painting spaces, heavy lifting, and other needs as applicable
High School Junior & Senior Volunteer Program
- An opportunity for junior and senior high school students to volunteer for the Rogers After-School Program. Responsibilities will include set up and tear down of activities, helping students with homework, mentoring younger students, and assisting with weekly crafts and mindfulness activities.
Board of Directors
- Gain deeper involvement and leadership within the Thumbs Up organization
Volunteers are asked to work at least 4 events per year.
