Description
Horton’s Kids is looking for volunteers who can attend our programs in Southeast DC each week to tutor participants and provide general program support during mealtimes and enrichment activities.
Consistency is key. By showing up every week, you will act as a consistent adult role model in the students’ lives and support their social-emotional development.
If you are passionate about empowering youth and can commit to volunteering once a week, this is a great opportunity for you!
Participation Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Reside in the Washington D.C. metro area to attend programs in-person
- Be interested in working with young people
- Be dependable and consistent in coming to weekly programs
- Attend volunteer trainings
- Be willing to communicate clearly with staff and take constructive feedback
