Angel/ 11th Hour Volunteer

11th Hour Volunteers are hospice volunteers who are specially trained to be with a patient who is in the dying process.11th Hour Volunteers sit bedside with actively dying patients, providing support to the patient and sometimes the family, offering a calm presence at the very end of life.11th Hour Volunteers stay with the patient for a shift of one to several hours.11th Hour Volunteers are usually contacted at the last minute, or at the 11th hour, so must be available without a great deal of planning ahead.
