Join Our Board of Directors – Help Strengthen Communities & Families

Summers Home for Hope, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women, children, seniors, veterans, and families experiencing food insecurity, housing instability, poverty, and other barriers to stability.

We are currently seeking dedicated, community-minded professionals to join our Board of Directors and help guide the continued growth and expansion of our organization.

We are especially interested in individuals with experience or expertise in nonprofit governance, fundraising and grant development, finance/accounting, legal or compliance matters, marketing and public relations, community engagement, strategic planning, program development, or corporate/community partnerships.

Board Member Responsibilities Include:

• Participate actively in board meetings and organizational decision-making
• Support the mission, vision, and strategic direction of Summers Home for Hope
• Assist with fundraising, donor development, sponsorships, grants, and community partnerships
• Serve as an ambassador for the organization within the community and professional networks
• Provide professional expertise and guidance within your area of experience
• Support organizational growth, program development, and long-term sustainability
• Participate in special events, community initiatives, and other organizational activities when possible
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the ethical and fiduciary responsibilities of nonprofit board service

We are looking for individuals who are dependable, collaborative, passionate about community service, and prepared to take an active role in helping the organization grow. Previous nonprofit board experience is welcomed but is not required for all candidates.

This is a volunteer leadership position and an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to use their skills, experience, and networks to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
