    Description

    Volunteer Coordinator

    The Volunteer Coordinator manages ad hoc volunteer opportunities to support events and program activities. This includes maintaining a volunteer interest pool, coordinating sign-ups and scheduling, and ensuring volunteers are equipped and informed. The Coordinator also operates the outreach plan for each event, schedules training sessions before major volunteer opportunities, and manages all volunteer coordination using Bloomerang Volunteer software.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Maintains a list of interested volunteers and match them to opportunities.

    Coordinates sign-ups, scheduling, and confirmations for event volunteers.

    Communicates expectations and provide day-of instructions.

    Ensures volunteers have necessary resources and support.

    Tracks participation for recognition and reporting.

    Operates the outreach plan for each event, including volunteer recruitment and communication.

    Schedules and coordinates training sessions before major volunteer opportunities.

    Uses Bloomerang Volunteer software to manage volunteer sign-ups, scheduling, and communication.

    Additional Details:

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.

    Familiarity with volunteer management tools and spreadsheets.

    Guidance from event and program staff.

    Templates and communication tools for outreach and scheduling.

    Work involves sitting, typing, and using digital tools for extended periods.
