Description
GRANT RESEARCH & WRITING ASSISTANT
Purpose
Support Anne’s Haven by identifying aligned funding opportunities and developing compelling grant materials that translate organizational impact into fundable proposals. This role helps secure financial resources that sustain programs, expand capacity, and deepen community reach.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities in women’s entrepreneurship, peacebuilding/peace education, leadership, and incubator spaces
- Identify and track foundations, corporations, and grantmakers aligned with peacebuilding/peace education, gender equity, and economic empowerment
- Draft grant proposals and program narratives for incubator initiatives, workshops, and peacebuilding/education programs
- Maintain a grant pipeline tracker with deadlines, requirements, and submission status
- Support preparation of budgets and other application materials
Qualifications
- Strong persuasive writing and storytelling skills
- Ability to independently research and identify aligned funding opportunities
- Interest in women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, or peacebuilding/peace education
- Strong written communication, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking
- Prior grant writing or nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required
