    Are you passionate about organic agriculture and sustainable food systems? Baystate Organic Certifiers is seeking dedicated volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors and help advance our mission of providing trustworthy, affordable organic certification services throughout the Northeast and beyond.

    What We Do

    We are a USDA-accredited nonprofit that certifies crops, livestock, and handling operations to national organic standards. Our certification services support a transparent, resilient food system rooted in environmental stewardship and trust.

    We’re Looking for People Who:

    ✔ Believe in the principles of organic agriculture

    ✔ Bring experience in farming, food systems, nonprofit governance, finance, or legal compliance

    ✔ Are committed to equity, transparency, and community-based decision-making

    ✔ Are ready to collaborate and participate actively

    Desired Skills & Experience

    We are especially interested in individuals with experience in:

    • Organic agriculture or food processing
    • Nonprofit governance or leadership
    • Regulatory compliance or legal expertise
    • Finance, fundraising, or accounting
    • Marketing, outreach, or communications

    Board Term & Commitment

    • Term Length: 1-2 years, with option to renew
    • Meetings: Quarterly
    • Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per quarter
