Role Overview: As a hospice volunteer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients and their families. Volunteers provide emotional support, companionship, and practical assistance, helping to create a peaceful and supportive environment during this important time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Provide respite care, allowing family members to take a break.
• Assist with light household tasks, such as running errands, or caring for pets.
• Share personal talents of skills, such as music, arts or crafts.
• Offer a listening ear, participate in life review.
• Support hospice staff with administrative tasks or special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have current drivers license and proof of insurance.
• Pass background check, provide proof of immunizations, and health clearance.
• Complete training and orientation.
