Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator

Time Commitment: 2–4 hours per week (or less)

Do you like connecting the right people with the right opportunities? We’re looking for a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to help manage open positions, coordinate postings, and ensure every interested candidate has a smooth path into the organization.

You’ll work closely with department leads and the Onboarding Department to keep volunteer needs up to date, post openings, and make sure new volunteers are connected to the right team once they’re ready to start.

What you’ll do:

• Gather open position details from department leads and keep listings current
• Post volunteer openings on Idealist and other relevant platforms
• Monitor applications and respond to inquiries from potential volunteers
• Confirm that candidates have completed onboarding steps before connecting them to their department
• Maintain basic tracking or reporting to show which roles are filled and which are still open
• Communicate regularly with the Onboarding Department Co-Chairs and department leads about placement needs

• Strong communication and organization skills
• Familiarity with online platforms like Idealist (or willingness to learn)
• A collaborative attitude and interest in helping teams grow
