    Description

    SASA is looking for a Volunteer (unpaid) Email Communications Specialist to assist the Mass Communications team in facilitating the relaying of communication through platforms like MailMeteor and MailChimp. This position is most well-suited for someone with a background in either or both software platforms, or is eager to learn how they work and get involved with a growing nonprofit organization. They must be flexible, adaptive, and comfortable working independently as new projects and tasks emerge.

    Salary: unpaid

    Duration: ongoing volunteer

    Hours: 5 hours per week

    Location: remote with regular weekly meetings online

    Position Description & Responsibilities:

    What is MailMeteor? : MailMeteor is SASA’s primary tool for personalized email outreach and communication. It enables us to send individualized messages to large audiences directly from Google Sheets, maintaining personalization, consistency, and data accuracy.

    What is MailChimp? : MailChimp is an HTML email composition platform, allowing SASA to keep in touch with our email subscribers and update them on upcoming SASA events and projects.
