James Weldon Johnson Community School of the Arts (JWJCSA) is seeking 1–2 volunteer videographers to help record our annual Black Composers Concert, a free community celebration of music by composers of African descent as part of DC's official celebration of Black History Month.
This special afternoon features classical, jazz, Gospel, and sacred works performed by outstanding local, regional, and national artists. Your support will help us preserve and share this powerful music with a wider audience through future YouTube streaming.

- Time: 3:00 PM (approx. 2–3 hours on site)
- Location: Jerusalem Baptist Church, Washington, DC
🎬 Volunteer Role
Volunteers will assist with:
- Video recording of live performances (fixed or lightly monitored setup)
- Capturing high-quality audio/video suitable for post-event streaming
- Coordinating with JWJCSA staff and fellow volunteers during the concert
This role is ideal for students and professionals who enjoy using their skills to support arts and community programming.

📌 Requirements
- Familiarity with basic video recording equipment

Getting There: Jerusalem Baptist Church is located at 2600 P Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. By car or ride-share, head toward Georgetown and follow local signs to P Street NW (limited street parking available). By Metro, the closest stations are Foggy Bottom–GWU (Blue/Orange/Silver Lines) or Dupont Circle (Red Line), each about a 10–20 minute walk. Several Metrobus routes also serve the Georgetown area, with stops a short walk from the church.
