Description
FareStart’s job training programs operate at our retail and classroom locations.
We need your help to provide additional mock interview practice to our students as they prepare for interviewing in this constantly evolving job market. Mock Interview volunteers will interview students and provide feedback to students directly and to staff using a feedback form so that students can learn about best interview practices.
DUTIES
- Work one-on-one with our students in a professional setting
- Interview students using common interview questions that are provided
- Provide verbal and written feedback to students on interview skills
- Provide feedback to staff on student interviews, interview process and industry best practices
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in recruiting, HR or experience managing/hiring staff
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to give constructive feedback and insightful interviewing tips
- Understanding of our students’ barriers to employment and expected boundaries
- Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Reflective of students: BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and/or experience with barriers to employment
