    Description

    Help Shape the Future of Animal Rescue

    The Rescue Crew is seeking passionate, mission-driven professionals to join our Board of Directors and help guide the organization's next chapter of growth and impact.

    Since 2017, The Rescue Crew has helped save more than 6,000 homeless animals through foster-based rescue, community partnerships, and innovative adoption programs. As we continue to grow, we are seeking board members who can provide strategic leadership, governance, oversight, and expertise to support our lifesaving mission.

    About The Rescue Crew

    The Rescue Crew is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to preventing unnecessary euthanasia by rescuing homeless, abandoned, and at-risk dogs and cats and placing them into loving homes. We operate a foster-based rescue program and The PURRfect Match Adoption Center in Andover, Minnesota.

    Responsibilities

    Board members serve as ambassadors and strategic leaders for the organization and are expected to:

    • Attend and actively participate in board meetings
    • Support organizational planning, governance, and oversight
    • Provide professional expertise and guidance in areas relevant to nonprofit operations
    • Assist with fundraising, community outreach, and relationship-building efforts
    • Promote The Rescue Crew's mission within the community
    • Serve on committees or special projects as needed
    • Support the long-term sustainability and growth of the organization

    Desired Skills & Experience

    We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and professions. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

    • Nonprofit leadership or governance
    • Finance, accounting, or auditing
    • Fundraising and development
    • Marketing, communications, or public relations
    • Human resources
    • Legal or compliance
    • Veterinary medicine or animal welfare
    • Business operations, technology, or strategic planning

    Previous board experience is helpful but not required.
