    Description

Project Prevent UV’s ambassador program offers students from across the country a chance to be a public health leader and support our organization’s cause of UV Radiation awareness. Ambassadors will connect with peers nationally, attend meetings, and get the resources needed to make a real impact in their community.

There are THREE types of ambassadors, each equally contributing to our mission in their own unique way! We recommend that you take on the role of an ambassador that you demonstrate skills and interest for.

PUBLIC HEALTH AMBASSADOR: Leads the educational and preventative mission of PPUV. Engages their community by spreading awareness about our organization and its cause. Here are examples of events a public health ambassador can carry out.

    • Run sunscreen and sunglasses donation drives
    • Pass out sunscreen at local sports games or community events
    • Installing sunscreen dispensers around sunny and outdoor areas

FUNDRAISING AMBASSADOR: Drives the financial stability of our nonprofit through collecting funds and hosting fundraising events. Your work is what makes our events, workshops, and donations possible. Here are examples of events a fundraising ambassador can carry out.

    • Bake sales
    • Car washes
    • Partnership with school clubs and local organizations
    • Working with businesses and business owners

MEDIA AMBASSADOR: Manages the organization’s voice, visibility, and public image. Handles publicity and aspects of social media. Helps our organization connect with the community to administer surveys furthering research. Here are examples of tasks a media ambassador can carry out.

    • Creating films with students to display at schools
    • Interviewing researchers and doctors
    • Managing and updating our website

If you are selected as an ambassador, you must attend our bi-weekly meetings (twice a month), to discuss progress on your event, receive advice or help, and listen to what your fellow ambassadors are doing!
