The population we serve varies from newly arrived refugees and immigrants to more established individuals in the community- working with over 14 different nationalities. We typically serve over 300 families per week at our Chicago Food Pantry location. And now as millions of people continue facing economic hardships due to the discontinuation of post covid pandemic funding as well as a significant decrease in food stamp/SNAP benefits, food pantries like ours, have seen a huge surge in the number of people seeking supplemental food assistance. ICNA Relief offices have been stepping up our services to address the current challenges that our disadvantaged community members have been facing.
