Outdoor Volunteer Day: George F Canyon

Join us at George F Canyon for Outdoor Volunteer Day! We will be working

to restore and improve critical habitat for wildlife at the preserve

and beautify outdoor natural space for the community through activities

that could include planting native plants, preparing native seeds,

watering native plants and/or removing invasive plants.

Your efforts will help restore this habitat for wildlife as well as

create a beautiful outdoor space for the community to enjoy!

Location: George F Canyon, Rolling Hills Estates (register for meetup

information)

We will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, use sun

protection and bug spray and be sure to bring drinking water and a

snack. A reusable water bottle is recommended. Long pants and a

long-sleeved shirt are recommended. Please be prepared for mildly

strenuous hiking to reach volunteer locations.

Please arrive on time. We often work at a different location than the

meetup point, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to participate if you

are not there at the start time.

Please note that events may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
