    Description

Do you love science? Inspire elementary students in Milpitas!

Have you been looking for a way to make a big difference in a small amount of time? Consider volunteering with Science is Elementary (SiE).

SiE brings engaging science lessons to under-served classrooms once a month. Volunteers work with small groups of students to go through fun, hands-on experiments. You'll learn, you'll experience joy, and you'll make a difference in the lives of some amazing students.

We are looking for adults with a background in science or engineering who are interested in volunteering just two hours a month. Science is Elementary provides all lesson plans, materials, and training. This year we are working with transitional kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms at public schools in Milpitas.

"It is very fulfilling that with very little I could be making a real impact in their lives." - Javier

"If I can inspire a few children to be excited about science, even if just for a day, that's awesome." - Carmen

"I enjoy doing the experiments as much as the kids do!" - Subash
