    Description

    Join the 2026 Making Strides Walk Planning Committee!

    Be a part of something powerful! Help us plan, organize, and lead the fight against breast cancer.

    We are volunteers and leaders who plan the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk - raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, support, and prevention.

    Why Join Us:

    • Make a meaningful impact in our community
    • Build leadership experience
    • Meet passionate, like-minded people
    • Help shape one of our biggest fundraising events

    What You'll Do:

    • Help with event logistics (route, safety, setup)
    • Coordinate volunteers on walk day and train them for their position
    • Organize fundraising and sponsorship initiatives
    • Plan marketing, outreach, and communications
    • Create participant engagement activities

    Time Commitment:

    • Committee meetings 1-2 per month - 9 months
    • Increased activity in the month leading up to the walk
    • Walk Day: major commitment - set up, during the walk, and tear down

    We're Looking For:

    • Passionate, organized people
    • Strong communicators
    • Fundraising experience (helpful, but required)
    • Creative thinkers
