Volunteer Photographer Opportunity: Fiver Fall Fest Event Photography

Help Us Capture the Magic of Fall Fest at Camp Fiver

Fiver Children’s Foundation is seeking a talented volunteer photographer to help us capture our annual Fall Fest at Camp Fiver in Poolville, NY.

Fall Fest brings together Fiver supporters, friends, families, and members of the Central New York community for an evening at Camp Fiver in support of the central NY area youth and families we serve. Set against the beautiful backdrop of our 129-acre camp, the event is an opportunity to experience the spirit of Fiver while enjoying food, activities, entertainment, and time together as a community.

We’re looking for a photographer who can help us document the people, connections, and joyful moments that make this event special.

Volunteer Responsibilities

We are looking for a photographer to capture the energy and atmosphere of Fall Fest, with a general shot list that includes:

• Candid photos of guests enjoying activities, food, entertainment, and the Camp Fiver grounds.
• Posed photos of individuals, families, sponsors, and small groups.
• Photos that showcase the beauty and unique setting of Camp Fiver.
• Candid moments of guests connecting, laughing, and enjoying the event together.
• Photos of event raffle set up, sponsor signage, décor, food, and other elements that help tell the full story of the evening.
• Photos of speakers and any brief program moments.
• A selection of wider shots that capture the overall size, energy, and community feel of Fall Fest.
• A formal or informal group photo, as appropriate.
• Delivery: Provide edited, high-resolution digital files following the event via a shared link such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with event, community, or lifestyle photography.
• Comfort capturing both candid moments and posed group photos.
• Ability to provide your own camera equipment and photograph in an outdoor camp environment with changing natural light.
• A warm, engaging approach that helps guests feel comfortable in front of the camera.
• Ability to independently identify and capture meaningful moments throughout a busy event.
• A website or digital portfolio demonstrating previous photography work is strongly preferred.

Your photography will help Fiver tell the story of a community coming together in support of young people.

Fiver Children’s Foundation makes a unique 10-year commitment to youth ages 8-18 from systemically under-resourced communities in the New York area, providing year-round programming, summer camp, and family support at no cost to families. Photos from Fall Fest will be used to celebrate our community, thank supporters and sponsors, promote future events, and help more people discover and connect with Fiver’s mission.

By volunteering your talents, you’ll help us preserve the memories of a special evening at Camp Fiver while creating images that can support our storytelling and outreach long after the event ends.

When: Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 5:00–10:00 PM (photography coverage from 4 pm - 9 pm, break to have dinner included)
