    Description

    Pet Therapy for Hospice Patients

The AseraCare Hospice Pet Therapy Program is one of the many complementary services we offer to support patients living with terminal illnesses. Our trained volunteers and their certified therapy pets visit patients to provide comfort, companionship, and moments of joy. These visits help lift spirits, ease feelings of loneliness, and create meaningful connections during a vulnerable time.

Pet therapy can bring a deep sense of peace and trust to our patients and often helps reduce stress and anxiety. Many patients find it easier to open up and engage in conversation when a friendly animal is present, creating space for emotional expression and connection. The positive effects of Pet Therapy often extend well beyond the visit itself, leaving patients with lasting comfort and reassurance. The AseraCare Hospice Pet Therapy Program is one of the many complementary services we offer to support patients living with terminal illnesses.
