    Description

    # Program Manager

    ## Position Summary

    The Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the foundation’s programs and community initiatives.

    This person will make sure programs move from ideas into organized, measurable results. The Program Manager will coordinate people, schedules, partnerships, resources, events, and program activities while keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges.

    The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, community-minded, and capable of taking ownership of projects with limited day-to-day supervision.

    ## Key Responsibilities

    ### 1. Program Management

    * Plan and manage the foundation’s programs from start to completion.

    * Create program timelines, goals, schedules, and action plans.

    * Coordinate program activities, workshops, events, services, and initiatives.

    * Make sure programs are delivered consistently and professionally.

    * Identify problems early and develop solutions.

    ### 2. Community & Participant Coordination

    * Communicate with program participants and community members.

    * Coordinate outreach and participant enrollment.

    * Build relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and other partners.

    * Help ensure participants have a positive experience with the foundation.

    ### 3. Staff & Volunteer Coordination

    * Coordinate staff, volunteers, contractors, and other people supporting foundation programs.

    * Assign responsibilities and follow up on completion of tasks.

    * Create schedules and make sure everyone understands their role.

    * Help establish simple systems and procedures for program operations.

    ### 4. Partnerships & Community Relations

    * Develop and maintain relationships with organizations that can strengthen foundation programs.

    * Coordinate partnership activities and commitments.

    * Represent the foundation professionally at community meetings and events.

    ### 5. Budget & Resource Management

    * Monitor program expenses and resources.

    * Help develop program budgets.

    * Track spending and identify potential budget issues.

    * Coordinate supplies, facilities, vendors, and other resources needed to operate programs.

    6. Grants & Reporting

    * Help ensure programs meet grant requirements and organizational goals.

    * Track program activities, participation, outcomes, and other required information.

    * Assist with grant reports and updates for leadership and funders.

    * Maintain organized program records and documentation.

    ### 7. Program Evaluation

    * Track measurable outcomes and determine whether programs are achieving their goals.

    * Collect feedback from participants, partners, and staff.

    * Recommend improvements based on results and feedback.

    * Prepare regular program updates for the Executive Director/Founder.

    ## Qualifications

    * 3+ years of experience in nonprofit program management, community programs, project management, or a related field preferred.

    * Strong organizational and project-management skills.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

    * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    * Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.

    * Experience coordinating staff, volunteers, community partners, or events.

    * Knowledge of nonprofit operations, grants, and community programs is a plus.

    * Staff and volunteers know what they are responsible for.

    * Program expenses and resources are properly tracked.

    * Programs produce measurable results for the community.

    ## Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who doesn't need to be told what to do at every step.

    The right person is a doer and an organizer someone who can take a program from an idea, build the plan, coordinate the people involved, execute the program, solve problems, and report the results.

    The Program Manager should be someone leadership can trust to own the day-to-day execution of the foundation's programs.
