    Is Being a Journalist or Author in Your Future?

    Homes First is seeking people who can write articles for us to submit to our local news and entertainment outlets regarding our mission and our impact.

    Volunteer writers can perform many duties depending on their skills and what their focus is. Here are some typical volunteer writer duties:

    • Working with Homes First staff to understand writing needs and requirements
    • Writing materials for local distribution
    • Writing letters to the editor
    • Attending trainings to align their efforts with that of Homes First
    • Meeting with other writers to brainstorm
    • Communicating with other volunteers or donors
