Administrative Office Volunteer -Join our Hospice Team! [Milwaukee Office]

Are you compassionate, organized, and comfortable on the phone?

We are looking for an office volunteer to assist our hospice team with tuck-in calls (checking on patients before the weekends and holidays) and post-admit calls (welcoming new patient and families to our care). This role will primarily provide coverage when our current volunteer is unavailable or calls in, ensuring our patients and families continue to receive supportive check-ins.

Patient Connection:

Even as an office volunteer, we ask that you visit at least one hospice patient weekly for about an hour. This helps maintain a personal connection with our mission and supports our patients directly.

Responsibilities:

• Make friendly, scripted calls to patient and caregivers to ensure needs are met
• Communicate updates to hospice staff
• Maintain simple call logs and confidentiality
• Support Volunteer Coordinator with light tasks

Requirements:

• Must be 18 and over
• Hospice experience (preferred)
• Must pass a background check
• Must have a negative TB test result
• Comfortable speaking with patients and families by phone
• Reliable and compassionate attitude
