Through education, advocacy, and community-building, we work to reduce stigma, support patients and families, and drive meaningful change in healthcare and education. We have affiliates across the country and a growing digital presence.

    About the Role

As Social Media Marketing Manager, you'll help lead IIAN's digital strategy across platforms. This is a leadership-level volunteer role ideal for someone with marketing experience who wants to apply their skills to a cause they care about. You'll work closely with content creators and organizational leadership to grow IIAN's reach and impact online.

    • Develop and manage a social media content calendar across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
    • Set strategy for audience growth, engagement, and brand consistency
    • Oversee and collaborate with social media content creator volunteers
    • Coordinate campaigns aligned with awareness dates, organizational milestones, and advocacy goals
    • Ensure all content reflects IIAN's mission, values, and voice

    Who We're Looking For

    • Experience in social media marketing, digital communications, or a related field
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to lead and coordinate a small remote volunteer team
    • Passion for healthcare advocacy, chronic illness awareness, or disability rights
    • Students in marketing/communications programs and professionals with relevant experience both welcome
