Pixel Pulse is a youth-led organization dedicated to expanding access to STEM education through creative media, digital resources, and community-driven initiatives. Our website is a central hub for sharing opportunities, publishing youth-created content, and spotlighting STEM pathways.

    Role Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated Web Developer to help maintain, improve, and expand the Pixel Pulse website. You’ll collaborate with our leadership team to bring new features to life, improve user experience, and keep our platform running smoothly. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys coding, design, or building digital tools that empower young people.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update the Pixel Pulse website (content updates, layout tweaks, bug fixes)
    • Improve site structure, accessibility, and responsiveness
    • Implement new features or sections (e.g., resource library, blog pages, newsletter embeds)
    • Collaborate with Comms and Program teams to publish content
    • Optimize site speed and user experience
    • Ensure the website reflects Pixel Pulse’s branding and mission
    • Additional:
      • Contribute to UI/UX improvements
      • Assist with basic graphic or visual elements
      • Work on backend features (if applicable)

    Qualifications

    • Experience with the following:
      • TailwindCSS
      • DrizzleORM
      • Github Actions
    • Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot small issues
    • Willingness to learn and collaborate with a youth-led team
    • Interest in STEM education, digital equity, or nonprofit tech work

    What You’ll Gain

    • Real-world web development experience
    • A portfolio of site improvements and feature builds
    • Experience working with a mission-driven youth organization
    • Opportunities to expand tech skills (front-end, UI/UX, CMS tools, etc.)
