    FRESHFARM Farmers Market Volunteer

    Volunteer at your local farmers market!

    FRESHFARM builds a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system in the Mid-Atlantic region through hands-on education, farmers markets, farm stands, and food distribution programs. Join our team as a Farmers Market Volunteer!

    Market Volunteers play a number of roles at FRESHFARM including helping with our market operations, assisting with food access programs, and adding to FRESHFARM’s spirit of community by greeting customers and answering questions. Volunteer opportunities are available at our Farmers Markets and Farm Stands throughout Washington DC, Fairfax County, and Arlington County.

    We are in need of volunteers at our locations in Washington DC.

    FRESHFARM Market Locations in DC that are currently accepting volunteers:

    • Tuesdays: Whittier Elementary Farm Stand (3-6pm)
    • Wednesdays: Foggy Bottom Market (3-7pm), Columbia Heights WED Market (3-7pm)
    • Thursdays: By The White House (11am-2pm), Minnesota Ave Farm Stand (1-4pm), and Simon Elementary Farm Stand (2:30-5:30pm)
    • Saturdays: Anacostia Community Museum Farm Stand (10am-2pm), Cesar Chavez Farm Stand (9am-1pm), Cleveland Park Market (9am-1pm), Columbia Heights SAT Market (9am-1pm), H Street Market (9am-12:30pm), Kenilworth Rec Center Farm Stand (9am-1pm), Monroe Street Market (9am-1pm), Mount Vernon Triangle Market (9am-1pm), THEARC Farm Stand (10am-2pm), Uptown Market (9am-1pm)
    • Sundays: Dupont Circle Market (8:30am-1:30pm), Union Market District (10am-2pm)

    We are also accepting volunteers at our Virginia locations: Reston (Wednesdays), Ballston (Thursdays), Arlington (Saturdays), Mosaic (Sundays).
