    Description

    Position Overview:

    Hope’s Journey is seeking passionate Youth Workshop Volunteers to support and co-facilitate engaging workshops for youth ages 10–21. Volunteers play a key role in delivering interactive, life-skill–focused sessions that promote confidence, emotional growth, and positive decision-making.

    Workshops may include topics such as:

    • Healthy vs. Toxic Relationships
    • Self-Esteem & Confidence Building
    • Etiquette & Professional Skills
    • Vision Boarding & Goal Setting
    • Financial Literacy
    • Life Skills & Personal Development

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with workshop setup, facilitation, and breakdown
    • Support youth engagement during group activities and discussions
    • Help manage group behavior using Hope’s Journey guidelines
    • Encourage participation, respect, and positive interaction
    • Provide one-on-one support to youth when needed
    • Serve as a positive role model and mentor
    • Assist with materials (handouts, activities, sign-in, etc.)
    • Collaborate with staff to ensure workshops run smoothly

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 20 years old
    • Passion for youth development and community impact
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Comfortable working with diverse youth populations
    • Reliable and able to commit to scheduled workshop dates

    Preferred (Not Required)

    • Experience facilitating or assisting with workshops, groups, or youth programs
    • Background in education, social work, psychology, or mentoring
    • Public speaking or group facilitation skills
    • Creative or professional skills aligned with workshop topics

    Requirements

    • Completion of Hope’s Journey onboarding process
    • Background check (required for all volunteers working with youth)
    • Participation in orientation/training
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful environment
