Description
General purpose:
The Social Planning Committee supports the Village by creating and coordinating educational, social, and community-building programs that bring members and volunteers together. This includes planning events that reduce isolation, strengthen connection, and show appreciation for volunteers.
Could include:
- Planning and coordinating social activites for members, such as bing, sing-alongs, and other group programs
- Developing educational programming that supports member engagement and connection
- Organizing volunteer appreciation events, including recognition activities and celebrations
- Supporting informal gatherings such as happy hours or social meet-ups for volunteers
- Helping create opportunities for members and volunteers to connect with one another in meaningful ways
- Supporting communication and promotion of upcoming social and educational programs
- Working with staff to ensure events are accessible, welcoming, and aligned with Village values
- Helping identify new ideas for social and engagement programming throughout the year
